Foyle Family Justice Centre will host a major international conference “From Hurt to Hope” specifically designed for local and international professionals working in all areas of Domestic Violence. The Conference will be held at the Ulster University (Magee Campus) in Derry/Londonderry, Northern Ireland, on 4 and 5 June 2019.
Recognised as a ground breaking model for multidisciplinary agency working to combat domestic, sexual and child abuse, there are already more than 130 Family Justice Centres (FJCs) with a further 100 in development.
This event will be invaluable for anyone working with survivors of domestic and sexual abuse including:
The Foyle Family Justice Centre is the first of its kind in the UK or Ireland and works closely with the US and European FJC Alliances. The FJC Model aggregates core and extended service delivery to optimise support for victims and to foster more informed trauma recovery. In this way it provides the most effective support to victims.
The conference will focus on family justice and best practice in multi-agency team working in key areas including investigation; documentation; prosecution; advocacy and research.
