Welcome from Marie Brown
“from Hurt to Hope”
A welcome from Marie Brown MBE, Director Foyle Family Justice Centre.
I would like to welcome you all to Derry/Londonderry to celebrate the launch of the Foyle Family Justice Centre. As a native of Derry/Londonderry, I am delighted to have played a part in bringing this important and special ‘From Hurt to Hope’ conference to the city.
I look forward to organising this conference which not only showcases excellent, impactful, domestic and sexual abuse research, but also produces positive benefits for those in the city and wider council area who work tirelessly to address this important problem.
This conference is specifically designed to be of benefit to you and your colleagues. It will give you a unique opportunity to interact with the founders of the innovative Family Justice Centre approach to working with those who have experienced domestic and sexual abuse.
The conference will also focus on the local multi agency and partnership approach to emulate best practice with impactful stories from the victims and survivors of domestic and sexual violence.
I am confident that delegates from around the world will have an opportunity to not only hear the latest research and evidence to tackle this major public health issue but also experience an unforgettable welcome from the people of Derry/Londonderry.
I look forward to seeing you on the 4th & 5th June 2019.
Thank you,
Marie Brown
Director
